Legacy media is defined by the national networks like CBS, NBC , and ABC , and newspapers like the Washington Post , the New York Times , and the L.A. Times. They have all sold out to political pressure. Independent media like Brian Tyler Cohen, Glen Kirschner, Marc Elias, Rachel Maddow and others have swept in to take their place in reporting what’s going on politically.

The list of the legacy media that have bowed to political pressure is growing: CBS with 60 Minutes and their $36 million bribe, Disney (ABC) with tribute of $15 million plus cancellation of Stephen Colbert’s show and suspension of Jimmy Kimmel. NBC was threatened with investigations because our president didn’t like its news coverage ( npr.org ).
