Ribbon-cutting ceremony planned for two new parks
Two new Naperville parks will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting event to be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7.
The ceremony celebrates the opening of Polo Club Park and Fairlane Farms Park, which are in the same subdivision. It will take place at Polo Club Park, 5828 Hawkweed Drive.
With the addition of the two new venues, Naperville Park District now has a total of 140 park facilities.
Polo Club Park features a spinner, a miniature market station and a sensory tunnel, a park district news release said. Fairlane Farms Park, 5904 Book Road, has two large multipurpose fields to hold outdoor programs like youth soccer.
