Goodwin receives Gold Glove
Chatham-Kent Barnstormers shortstop Sadler Goodwin was named a Gold Glove winner Wednesday in the Intercounty Baseball League.
The Nashville, Tenn., native had a .975 fielding percentage in his second Barnstormers season. He had a league-best 94 assists and 64 putouts while making four errors.
Goodwin also named a second-team all-star last week after tying for second in the IBL with 11 homers and driving in a team-high 31 runs in 37 games. He batted .277 with a .379 on-base percentage and .577 slugging percentage.
