On Tuesday, October 7, at 5:30 p.m., the Jackson County Public Library will host a free Credit and Budgeting Workshop, open to youth, young adults, and families eager to gain confidence in their money management skills.

The session will cover essential topics like what a credit score is, what it measures, and why it matters, as well as how to set up a budget that works. Attendees will also walk away with practical tips for success, including strategies for both short- and long-term planning, where to find resources during hard times, and how to protect and build strong credit.
