BANGOR -- There is always a need for blood.
Husson university’s radio station and it’s students helped offset some of that need today with an on campus blood drive.
WHSN station manager Mark Nason says they hold the blood drive at least twice year.
He says it’s one way to encourage community involvement and create life long donors.
"One out of every four donors that we have here at our blood drives are first time donors and that’s great because getting them the first time is the biggest challenge and then if they donate once they come back the next semester and donate again."
Nason says donating is the kind of thing that’s rewarding to you heart and if you don’t need blood now, you or someone you know might need it in the future.
