HOUSTON, Texas (KWTX) - Governor Greg Abbott will announce a new public safety initiative to combat violent crime and protect Texans.

The Governor will be joined by Texas Department of Public Safety Colonel Freeman Martin, Houston Crime Stoppers Senior Director of Programs and Special Projects Sydney Zuiker, Houston Police Officers Union Executive Director Ray Hunt, and other state and local officials.
