The 17-year-old suspect accused of assaulting a victim with a pool cue pled denial at an arraignment hearing Wednesday morning.

Seventeen-year-old Parker Ahlquist pled denial to one second-degree felony count of felonious assault during his arraignment hearing Wednesday.

The charges stem from an incident reported to police in August when Ahlquist allegedly used a pool cue on the alleged victim in a sexual way after getting "a little drunk" at a party in Canfield Township.

Sheriff's deputies spoke with the alleged victim's dad, who told deputies that Ahlquist called him and asked him not to press charges.

Ahlquist is currently under house arrest except for going to school and was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim in the case.
