An employee at a middle school in Davie was arrested on Friday after being accused of having cocaine on the campus, police said.
Edward Berg, 63, was charged with possession of cocaine.
According to Davie Police, the assistant principal and security at Indian Ridge Middle School showed an officer a clear plastic baggie that they found on the floor of the school's main hallway that held a white powdery substance.
An arrest report said that the officer tested the substance with their department-issued equipment and determined that the substance was cocaine.
There were .90 grams of cocaine in the baggie, the report said.
The officer, the report said, then reviewed surveillance video that showed the baggie falling out of Berg's shorts as he was trying to put his phone in his pocket.
