One person was killed and another was hospitalized after a fiery crash in North Miami Beach on Wednesday, officials said.

The crash happened in the area of Northeast 163rd Street and Northeast 28th Avenue.

Aerial footage showed at least two vehicles were involved with one that caught fire up on a sidewalk.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said crews responded and were able to extinguish the fire.

North Miami Beach Police officials said when the vehicle caught fire, the driver became trapped and died.

Fire rescue officials said a second person was being transported to a local hospital.

Police haven't released the identities of anyone involved but said the crash is under investigation.

No other information was immediately known.
