A vision to continue to reshape the ‘island’ between the Bridgewater and Manchester Ship Canals with a community of 2,600 homes and 35-storey towers has been unveiled.
Developer Peel Waters has published its plan for the 25-acre Pomona Island, branded Manchester Waters, which includes up to 100 care beds, 200 hotel rooms and student accommodation, for public consultation.
Already, 500 homes have been delivered to date, with planning permission granted for a further 300, in addition to an apartment hotel.
