Ricky Hatton's son Campbell has opened up about his father's death last month, saying the family are 'absolutely heartbroken' by the news which 'knocked them for six'.

The Mancunian boxing icon was found dead at his home in Gee Cross, Hyde , on Sunday, September 14, aged 46. Police say there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Campbell, 24, who himself had a stint as a professional boxer until his retirement in July of this year, told ITV News that his death had been 'so unexpected'.

"We had so many plans coming up, so it has knocked us for six," said Campbell. "Obviously we are trying to be there for each other.
