A woman who had been reported missing in recent days was found dead in a lagoon at McKinley Park on Chicago’s Southwest Side.

According to Chicago police, 90-year-old Fengling Qi had last been seen in the 1900 block of West 34 th Place on Sunday.

Early Wednesday morning, she was found unresponsive in the lagoon at the park in the 2200 block of West Pershing Road, and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Chicago police.

There was no immediate word on a cause of death, and a death investigation remains underway, police said.
