STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Dongan Hills man accused of striking a migrant woman in the face with his cellphone in front of her daughter will avoid jail time, on multiple conditions.
Daniel Brongo, 52, of the 300 block of Buel Avenue, was facing a top count of felony assault in connection with the May 22, 2024, incident. At his arraignment hearing days later, he was released on his own recognizance, the Advance/SILive.com previously reported.
