At 1:11 p.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service issued a frost advisory valid for Thursday between midnight and 8 a.m. for Clinton, Essex and St. Lawrence counties.

The weather service states to expect, "Temperatures as low as 32 degrees will result in frost formation."

"Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered," explains the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
