CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The Highland County Sheriff’s Office shared a message providing safety guidance and reminding residents to be aware of their surroundings.
Sheriff Randy Sanders said that safety continues to be one of the top priorities for him, and keeping residents aware is an important way to keep them safe.
“Highland County’s 550 square miles and we got a little over 43,000 people here, so we’re not a large county, but just letting people know here that what happens at other places can happen here too,” he said.
Sanders said that the goal of a recent Facebook post made by the sheriff’s office was to remind the community to be mindful of things, be aware of their surroundings and how to recognize concerning behavior.
“We’re just trying to stay ahead of stuff and just make peopl
