NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Amazon is bringing its “Skills to Jobs Tech Alliance” to Nashville. Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell and representatives with Amazon made the announcement on Wednesday morning.
The program is aimed at closing the gap between classroom learning and real-world tech careers. Amazon Web Services is over this initiative, which started two years ago, and Nashville is its sixth partnership.
“By working with our leading institutions and corporate partners, this initiative is going to give young people in Nashville the resources and skills they need to succeed in the economy of the future,” said Mayor O’Connell.
