ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A custodian at the Francis Howell High School has been charged with vandalism, a week after racist and sexual graffiti were found in multiple bathrooms and classrooms in the school.
Tyler A. Carter has been arrested and charged with first-degree institutional vandalism and harassment motivated by discrimination or the intention to frighten another.
Carter, a custodian at the Francis Howell School District, was working an afternoon shift at Francis Howell High School on September 23 when he allegedly entered several bathrooms and foreign language classrooms and wrote on the walls. According to court documents, in the bathroom, he wrote racist sentiments, and in the classrooms, he wrote sexually explicit words.
