LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man is in the Lincoln County jail after drinking alcohol in court and biting a security guard. The man already had two active warrants for alcohol-related offences.

Billy Davis was charged on Friday, September 26, with resisting arrest and two counts of assaulting a special victim. The charges come in connection with a series of events the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said happened the previous day.

According to court documents, at around 9 a.m. on September 25, Davis entered a courtroom at the Lincoln County Justice Center, to which an officer reported a corporal that Davis smelled of alcohol and was acting in a “belligerent manner” outside of the center.
