GRAND BLANC TWP, MI -- New fundraisers have started for additional victims of the shooting and fire at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township.
Four people died as a result of the fire and shooting which police have said 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford is responsible for on Sunday, Sept. 28, at the church on McCandlish Road.
Several others were injured during the incident.
A GoFundMe campaign started by Allison Ensign says her brother Greg Mikat Mikat suffered gunshot wounds and is in the hospital.
“Greg was attempting to stop the horrific attack at his church when the assailant shot him three times,” reads the campaign. “This has been a devastating and unexpected tragedy for his family.”
