PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Starbucks on Thayer Street has served its last latte.
A 12 News crew captured the empty College Hill storefront on Tuesday, where the windows were covered up with paper.
Security personnel were also on site to ensure the property was secure.

In a statement last week, Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol said the company is closing 1% of storefronts in 2025.
"We identified coffeehouses where we're unable to create the physical environment our customers and partners expect, or where we don't see a path to financial performance," Niccol explained. "And these locations will be closed."
