As the Finance Ministry shifted to the new Central Secretariat building from the historic North Block, it was a nostalgic moment for most officials. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman went around all the office rooms, interacted with officials and clicked pictures with them. Many of the officials have spent their entire career, in some cases over 40 years, in the North Block building.
