This summer, we participated in a weeklong wilderness expedition sponsored by All American Leadership and the National Outdoor Leadership School. We traveled to Wyoming and hiked through the wilderness of the Wind River Range for a week with six other participants, two instructors and five llamas. As we made our way through beautiful mountains, streams and lakes, we engaged in deep conversations about purpose, values, leadership and life.
We were all challenged physically, emotionally and mentally by the expedition, and learned quickly to trust and rely on each other and the llamas for support.
