GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Grand Island man accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail at the Department of Homeland Security building has taken a plea deal.

According to court documents filed on Sept. 29, Eulisis Martin, 21, pled guilty to attempting malicious damage to federal property and threatening federal officials.

He faces up to 20 years for count one and up to 10 years for count two. Documents show he could receive a maximum $250,000 fine, a mandatory $100 special assessment, a three-year term of supervised release and possible ineligibility for certain federal benefits for each count.

In exchange, prosecutors dropped two charges: possession of a Molotov cocktail and destruction of government property. He will also not be federally prosecuted in the District of Nebraska for the
