CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) - Plans for a whitewater park in Clearfield County have encountered a setback as the Clearfield Borough Council voted against supporting a grant application that could provide $6 million in funding.

Clearly Ahead Development has been advocating for a whitewater park in Clearfield and Curwensville for over a year.

"In Clearfield, we will continue with the final design. But then we'll have to stop at that point," said Rob Swales, CEO of Clearly Ahead Development.

The Curwensville Borough Council has been backing the initiative by seeking funds and creating plans for the Pee Wee Dam.
