LUBBOCK, Texas--In light of the recent overnight shooting that occurred in Southwest Lubbock at an Airbnb that left one person dead and another injured, Airbnb has sent a statement to EverythingLubbock.com reminding people on the safety of renting an Airbnb.

Statement, attributed to an Airbnb spokesperson:

"Airbnb bans parties, and we condemn this senseless act of gun violence and the guest who booked this reservation is no longer able to use our platform. We're looking into the situation further and we have reached out to offer support to law enforcement with their investigation."
