LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Doctors at the Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc recounted their experience treating patients after a church shooting and fire left four people dead and eight others injured. The suspect, 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford, was also killed.

"As I walked into the emergency room, all these patients started rolling through the doors, one after another, with wounds you just never see in Grand Blanc." Dr. Christopher Ash said during a news conference on Wednesday.

Ash spoke highly of the group effort that was put forth inside the hospital following the shooting.

"It was really all hands on deck. The teams did an amazing job."

Dr. Alan Janssen said that when incidents like shooting happen, all members of the emergency response team need to work together.
