TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Tuscaloosa County leaders are working to get rid of some of those eyesores in several neighborhoods.
The Tuscaloosa County Commission voted unanimously Wednesday, Oct. 1, to begin the process of condemning a total of 11 properties, the first step in a long process of taking action.
The properties are scattered in two districts, but mostly in District 4.
One of those properties - a vacant home located at 3712 12th Street Northeast.
“I would be excited,” said Annet Chimalhua, who lives across the street.
Chimalhua was pleased to hear the owner of the vacant house will be forced to make a decision to do something.
