SNOW HILL, N.C. (WITN) - Breast Cancer Awareness Month begins October 1st, and the Postal Service is doing its part in raising funds to fight the deadly disease through stamps.
“They do cost a little bit more than a regular postage stamp, but that additional revenue goes toward breast cancer research,” said Rob Jenner, postmaster in Snow Hill.
For the past two years, the Snow Hill Post Office has ranked second in breast cancer stamp sales, trailing right behind New Bern.
“Which is probably about a good ten times larger than this area happens to be,” Jenner added.
That success, he says, is thanks to the dedication of the community.
