Game 2 of the AL Wild Card series between the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Guardians looked like it was gearing up to be just like Game 1, with little scoring, where every run really counts.

Even though it was early on in what ended up being a 6-1 defeat for the Tigers, that’s why it felt like such a major blow when an RBI single from Javier Báez in the fourth inning went from a go-ahead hit to a game-tying one.

Riley Greene easily scored on the grounder up the middle and Dillon Dingler was not going to be challenged at the plate, but a smart decision from debuting rookie Chase DeLauter in center field to make a throw to third to try and catch Zach McKinstry ended up being inspired.
