SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Imelda is expected to make landfall into Bermuda tonight as a category 2 hurricane with 100 mph winds. We have seen 4 hurricanes so far this season with 3 of them becoming major hurricanes.

We still have 2 months to go before the official end of hurricane season and over the next 7 days we are not expecting anything popping up. By mid October we are expecting to see some instability or lift in the west Caribbean which could spawn a tropical cyclone or storm but there is nothing on the radar at this time. That area is well known for late season development of tropical trouble. So don’t eat all your hurricane supply snacks quite yet we still have a ways to go.
