SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Our weather is changing. Imelda to the east and a high-pressure ridge to the northwest will combine to bring higher winds that give us breezy days. Over the next few days, a large area of tropical moisture will be drawn in by the breezy northeast wind at the surface and westerly wind aloft. All of this will combine to increase the rain chance and bring scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Variations in the day-to-day moisture amounts will slightly increase or decrease the rain chances from time to time, but each day will have a seasonable or slightly above chance for showers.
