HARRODSBURG, Ky. (WKYT) - A man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash.

Sean Angel of Harrodsburg was arrested and lodged in the Jessamine County Detention Center on Wednesday.

Harrodsburg Police say Angel turned himself in to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened about midnight on Saturday in Harrodsburg. Two people, an adult and a teenager, were walking in the crosswalk at Lexington and College Streets, when police say a pickup truck didn’t stop for a red light, hit them and then took off.

The two people are now being treated for serious injuries at UK Med Center in Lexington. Police say the two are in stable condition.

Angel is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and two counts of first-degree assault.
