A woman is alleging that Willie Mitchell, the B.C.-born former NHL hockey player, sexually assaulted her at his Tofino home in 2022.
The woman, identified only as S.D.K. in a lawsuit filed Wednesday in B.C. Supreme Court, says that after working a shift on Sept. 11, 2022, at the 1909 Kitchen and Bar at the Tofino Resort and Marina, she consumed a number of alcoholic drinks at an adjoining pub, known as The Hatch.
At The Hatch, she became intoxicated and has little memory of what happened later, the court documents say.
The woman alleges that Mitchell, who was one of the owners of Tofino Resort and Marina and was also serving as acting general manager, escorted her out of the pub, drove her to his home, and there sexually assaulted her.
