CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A 17-year-old is critically injured after a shooting on Seaboard Avenue in Chesapeake, police said.
Chesapeake police said the shooting occurred in the 1100 block of the street, which is not far from the intersection of Liberty Street and Poindexter Street.
Police said they first received the call for an injured person around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. When they arrived, they found the teenage boy suffering from life-threatening injuries. The teen was taken to a hospital in an ambulance for treatment.
Police said they did not have any suspect information to share, and the case remains under investigation.
