Homemade pipe bombs found in abandoned Grundy County home

Homemade pipe bombs were discovered inside an abandoned home in Altamont, Tennessee, on Wednesday, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office says.

The area was secured and cleared for safety, and the Chattanooga Police Bomb Squad recovered the devices.

The sheriff’s office says they are grateful for the quick response and professional work of the bomb squad, which helped ensure the safety of the community.
