The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is marking October as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, ensuring the commitment to protecting victims and holding offenders accountable.

Sheriff Austin Garrett said the department stands with survivors and continues to work alongside local law enforcement and community partners to break the cycle of abuse.

Officials also paused to remember those who have been injured or lost their lives to domestic violence in Hamilton County and across Tennessee.

Anyone in an abusive situation is urged to call 911 or the Domestic Violence Hotline at 423-755-2700 for help.
