Update: 31-year-old man killed in central Pa. shooting, suspect in custody

A 24-year-old man was arrested in York County after police said he shot and killed a person on Wednesday morning.

Just before 8:15 a.m., York police responded to East Princess and Pattison streets for a shooting. When officers arrived, they found the victim with a gunshot wound.

Romanus Myers, 24, of York, was also in the area and told investigators he shot the person, police said.

The victim was taken to WellSpan York Hospital, where he died of his injuries. Police did not include the victim’s age, name or address.

It is unclear where the victim was shot.

Police said Myers knew the victim and the pair had been involved in a fight before the shooting.
