ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
A new study now reveals that New Mexico is the least expensive state for moving costs, as more than 30 million Americans are expected to move in the next year.
The new data shows how much it costs professionals to move a family out of an average three-bedroom home, and New Mexico came in as the most affordable, with a $1,200 price tag.
Vermont was ranked as the most expensive state to move to, with its costs estimated to be $3,000, almost three times the price of New Mexico.
Data from the survey was collected from moving services across the U.S. by factoring in professional movers (local vs. long distance), moving containers, rental trucks, and labor-only movers.
