SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO/AP) — With the federal government shut down, Republican South Dakota Sen. Mike Rounds is clear about what he wants to see happen.
"Let's get government open again, end the Schumer shutdown, and we can talk about all of the other issues that might have to have compromises made on them," Rounds said Wednesday. "But we're not going to sit down and start negotiating until we open up government once again."
Health care is at the heart of the debate, with Democrats wanting Affordable Care Act subsidies extended.
