GREENUP, Ill. (WCIA) -- The saying, goes "if it's a good idea, do it today, not tomorrow." That's exactly what one teenager in Greenup is doing to help others through hygiene.

18-year-old Becca Layton is Wednesday night's Everyday Hero.

Layton said her organization -- Closet for a Cause -- was once just a dream. But now, she's able to provide free hygiene items to kids in school.

"If you are on government pay it only pays for food, it doesn't pay for feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, body wash, things like that," Layton said.

What started as a small operation out of her basement, has now turned into something helping teenagers throughout Cumberland County.
