BUFFALO, N.Y. — A body was pulled from the water Wednesday in the City of Buffalo.
Buffalo emergency crews were notified shortly before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday that a male of an unknown age had entered the water near Mile Marker 8.2 at the Foot of Ferry, a city spokesperson told 2 On Your Side .
Some time later, the U.S. Coast Guard located that person and pulled him from the water. That person was declared dead at the scene.
Buffalo Police and Fire crews responded, as did the Coast Guard and New York State Troopers. The city's on-duty Underwater Rescue Team and Buffalo Police Homicide Unit were also called to the scene.
An investigation is underway. The spokesperson said no further information is available at this time.
