CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — Cheektowaga Police asked people to avoid the intersection of Pine Ridge Road and Ridge Road following a crash that happened there Wednesday night.

NITTEC reported that both the northbound and southbound lanes of Pine Ridge Road were closed some time past 8 p.m. Wednesday. The closure ran from Sugar Road to East Delevan Avenue. The road reopened roughly two hours later, at 10 p.m.

"The traffic signal at the Kensington Expressway eastbound and Pine Ridge will be out in relation to this accident. Please avoid the area if possible," police posted to social media .

There was no immediate word about how many vehicles were involved, or any reported injuries from the scene.
