STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in locating a 56-year-old man who has been reported missing from Mariners Harbor.

Dennis Nieves was last seen on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at around 9 p.m., leaving his residence in the vicinity of Pond Way, according to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

Police describe Nieves as standing about 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighing about 250 pounds. He has black hair, a salt-and-pepper beard and dark eyes. He was last seen wearing a green T-shirt, brown shorts and black sneakers.

The NYPD has released a photo of Nieves.
