The son of a TV star on administrative leave after a police chase ended in the death of a teenager in Hartselle has been fired, WAFF reports .

The city of Priceville put officer Garry Chapman on administrative leave on Sept. 7, after a police car chase a day earlier ended in a fatal crash in the nearby city of Hartselle, killing a high schooler, Tristan Hollis, 17, and injuring three other people in a minivan with him.

Also injured were Archie Hale, who police said was fleeing on suspicion of driving under the influence, and his passenger.

Chapman, according to family and police Facebook posts, is the son of Duane Chapman, known as Dog the Bounty Hunter - the professional bounty hunter and reality TV star.
