Police are investigating a head-on collision that happened early Wednesday morning in Huntsville.
Officers responded to the area of Douglass Road and Highway 53 just before 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say the drivers of both vehicles were seriously injured in the wreck.
According to Huntsville Police, preliminary investigation shows that one vehicle was stopped in traffic when the other vehicle drifted into the opposite land and struck it head-on. Investigators say evidence recovered from the vehicle suggests drug use may have been a factor in the wreck.
Police say charges are pending the results of toxicology testing.
