STRATFORD, Connecticut — Three Stratford smoke shops on Barnum Avenue with the same owner were caught illegally selling marijuana products and materials last Friday, according to the town’s police department.

Police said they seized a total of 17 pounds of cannabis products and items from the three stores during simultaneous raids.

“Star Smoke & Variety” at 2339 Barnum Avenue, “On Your Way Convenience & Smoke Shop” at 2248 Barnum Avenue and “Loco Smoke Shop” at 1742-1746 Barnum Avenue were all found by police to be in violation.

A release issued Wednesday reported that the police department’s Narcotics, Vice and Intelligence Unit began gathering information in August about drug dealings happening on Barnum Avenue.
