WILLIMANTIC, Conn. — Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic held a powerful and emotional event Wednesday aimed at raising awareness about relationship violence.

Those on-hand also honored the memory of a former student whose life was tragically cut short.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time dedicated to shedding light on an issue that affects millions across the country and often remains hidden in silence. As part of the month’s observance, ECSU hosted “End Relationship Violence,” an annual campus-wide awareness event held in memory of Alyssiah Wiley.
