COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - An officer-involved shooting that occurred in December in Colorado Springs was ruled justified, according to the Fourth Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
On December 17, 2024, just before 1:30 p.m., the DA’s office said Colorado Springs police reported they received a call from a man who said his ex-girlfriend, 43-year-old Kari Anstett, was trying to enter his house in violation of a protection order.
As officers arrived at the home near North Carefree and Powers, the DA’s office said Anstett was walking away from the front of the house and toward the street.
