NEW ORLEANS —

The Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve's visitor center in the French Quarter has been closed Wednesday, and will be until further notice, because of the government shutdown.

But it's not only hitting there. The state's insurance commissioner outlines another impact.

"The impact that Louisiana citizens are going to see immediately with regard to the NFIP, the National Flood Insurance Program," said Tim Temple.
