LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Paris Wilburd isn't your typical high school student. A pair of cowgirl boots, a rope and a horse are taking her far.
"I started riding when I was 6 years old, and I went on a family trail ride out of state somewhere and I fell in love with horses," Wilburd said.
For the last three years, she's been a national rodeo champion, with her most recent win coming from the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo.
"Leading up to all the rodeo's I just have my mindset whether I win or not, I just need to be consistent and stay winning mone,y" Wilburt said.
This cowgirl has her head in the game, all while keeping a firm balance between the rodeo life and school.
